Emma Wong is a Chinese-Malay Australian dancer, movement artist and creative. Beginning her dance journey at a young age, training in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Commercial Styles & Partnering has resulted in her being known for her well rounded and versatile skill set.
Beginning her dance training at Andrea Dalton Dance Dynamics on the Sunshine Coast, QLD (Gubbi Gubbi Country). Emma developed a passion for the art form from childhood and has continued to train and expand her skillset across Australia, South East Asia, Europe, the UK and the USA.
After graduating high school, she proceeded to tertiary education and gained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance) at the Queensland University of Technology. Whilst in university, Emma taught from local special needs to international schools and dance facilities. Post graduation, she continued to pursue her expansion as a creative, performer and educator - completing a further year of study and training at the prestigious Dance Force, based in Tweed Heads (Bundjalung Country).
Upon graduating and obtaining her Cert IV in Performance, Emma was signed to one of the most respected talent agencies in the country and quickly moved to Sydney, Australia (Eora Nation).
Since moving to Sydney, Emma has built an impressive resume as a performer. Ranging in jobs from live TV, immersive theatre, commercials, corporate spaces and music videos. Some of her credits include 2018 Commonwealth Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Eurovision, George Maple, Night Tales, Kween Kong, Sydney World Pride 2023, Sydney NRL Roosters, Sydney Mardi Gras, Heineken, Alternaleaf, Apple, Imprint X TED, Amazon Prime, W Hotels, The Masked Singer, Hermès, Dami Im, Guy Sebastian and many more.
Her well developed passion for dance and education in the industry has seen her teach workshops across Australia, South East Asia and Europe.
Currently, Emma is a highly sought after performer and teacher in the dance and performing arts industry. She is an exciting upcoming creative that is offering innovative, authentic movement as a budding choreographer and movement director. She has already been seen making waves with national ad campaigns and music videos.
